Kim Kardashian Reveals Her Disease Went in Remission After the Stress of Her Marriage Ended

Kim Kardashian has revealed how symptoms from her disease almost entirely disappeared after she ended her marriage with rapper Kanye West. Speaking in the season 7 premiere of the hit reality television series “The Kardashians,” the model, actress, and businesswoman explains how the disease went into remission as she was no longer as stressed after the divorce.
Kim Kardashian Discusses How Her Health Improved After Divorce
During an early moment in the first episode of the new season, 45-year-old Kim opens up about how her marriage to Kanye West affected her health. During a break in filming on “All’s Fair” — a Ryan Murphy series in which she stars alongside Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, and Naomi Watts — she discusses how her psoriasis went into remission following her divorce, per People.
“I haven’t had psoriasis since I got divorced,” reveals Kim before admitting that it had recently started to return after some recent interactions between her and her former husband. “I mean, I have psoriasis again. I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect.”
Discussing the situation further, Kim details how the stress is linked to her desire to protect her children, especially when they learn about some of the things Kanye has been doing.
“They’re gonna know things,” she says. “They’re gonna grow up, they’re gonna see. So my job as a mom is to just make sure that — at a time when that behavior is happening — is just to make sure that they’re protected.”
According to Mayo Clinic, psoriasis is a “skin disease that causes a rash with itchy, scaly patches, most commonly on the knees, elbows, trunk and scalp.” As a chronic disease, it has no cure and is typically a long-term condition that flares up in cycles over weeks and months. The National Psoriasis Foundation reports that stress is one of the most common triggers for the disease, with stressful events or conditions leading to flare-ups due to changes in a person’s immune system.
Kim Kardashian’s Major Health Scare
Kim also reveals in the same episode of “The Kardashians” that she has a brain aneurysm. During a conversation with her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim tells her that doctors discovered the damaged blood vessel during an MRI scan and she attributes its cause to the stress caused by the messy divorce.
Kim describes the aneurysm as “little”, suggesting it is only a minor bulging or weakening of a blood vessel. These types of cerebral aneurysms are common and can be managed with regular treatment.
Kim and Kanye married in 2014 and subsequently had four children together: North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6. They separated in 2021 and were officially divorced in 2022, sharing joint custody of their children.
