15-year-old killed in stabbing when fight breaks out at house party in West Babylon

WEST BABYLON, Long Island — A 15-year-old boy was stabbed and killed after a fight broke out at a house party on Long Island.
Authorities say about 100 teens were at a party outside a home on Carlton Road in West Babylon on Monday night when things got out of control just before 10:30 p.m.
Liam Delemo was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.
The homeowner, 70-year-old Bonnie Miranda, was charged with Suffolk County’s Social Host Law and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Police say Miranda allowed her grandchild to have a party at the home.
While Miranda is facing charges, police say the killer has not been caught.
The victim’s father, Michael Delemo, is pleading with teens who were at the house party to tell Suffolk County Police what they saw.
“This whole if I tell on somebody I’m a rat and all this other stuff that goes out the window, my son’s dead,” Delemo said.
On Tuesday, Delemo remembered saying goodbye to his son.
“I always tell same thing, ‘be careful’ and he said ‘I will’ and of course I told him I loved him,” Delemo said.
Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.
