The L Word’s Jennifer Beals surprised everyone at Reneé Rapp’s concert

It’s not a new thing for lesbian freakouts to happen when Reneè Rapp performs, but they went wild when Jennifer Beals made a surprise appearance.

Reneé Rapp is currently touring her latest albumBite Me.

And she surprised fans with at the latest show swapping out her girlfriend for The L Word’s Jennifer Beals.

The crowd went wild.

As part of her show, Rapp performs her track ‘At Least I’m Hot‘, which has a call-and-return segment with her girlfriend, Towa Bird.

When Bird has been at the show she performed the moment with Rapp onstage.

But Jennifer Beals made a surprise appearance at the recent concert, taking Birds place.

The camera panned to where Bird is normally standing in the audience to reveal Beals with a microphone in hand.

This isn’t the first time Rapp has welcomed The L Word cast as part of her performances.

In 2024 at Coachella, Rapp had a crowd full of gay women anxiously awaiting her performance.

When Beals, along with her The L Word costars Leisha Hailey and Kate Moennig as well as the show co-creator Ilene Chaiken introduced her.

“You gotta say what every lesbian wants to hear,” Kate yelled.

“Who’s ready for a f**king Reneé Rapp concert?”.

Is The L Word coming back?

The L Word iran from 2004 to 2009, follows the lives of a group of lesbian and bisexual women in Calafornia.

Written and directed predominantly by women, the Showtime series had television’s first ensemble cast of lesbian and bisexual female characters.

It was groundbreaking for its portrayl of lesbians, sapphic love and sex.

The L Word franchised into a spin-off reality show The Real L Word, a documentary film L Word Mississippi: Hate the Sin.

And sequel television series, The L Word: Generation Q, in 2019, picked up 10 years after the original.

The series was cancelled after three seasons.

The season finale featured a cute celebrity cameo from queer power couple, G Flip and Chrishell Stause.

But rumour has it that a reboot is in the works, The L Word: New York.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

‘Let’s just make a few things abundantly clear’

Beals appearance wasn’t the only reason Rapp’s concert tour made headlines this week.

While performing in Portland Oregon, Rapp had a go at ICE and the Trump Administration.

Performing to the crowd Rapp said “at the same time, some other people who shouldn’t fucking be here are.”

“So let’s just make a few things abundantly fucking clear.”

“F**k Ice. F**k this administration. And f**k Trump.”

Trump is attempting to send national guard into Oregan claiming it is a “war zone”.

Last week, Presdent Trump’s attempt to deploy national guard was blocked a federal judge.

This was overturned by the appeals court today.

The Trump administration said it would “crush violent radical left terrorism” with the troop deployment,.
