Strictly Come Dancing fans have said that Karen Hauer was ‘right’ following her reaction to the judges’ comments following her and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey’s latest performance.

The pair were back in the ballroom on Saturday night (October 25) as the BBC One dance contest continued with its Icons Week special.

It’s the second year that ‘Icons Week’ has been a theme on the programme, having been launched last year to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary, with the much-loved show having first hit screens back in 2004.

It saw the show pay tribute to some of the world’s biggest music stars – including Beyonce, Harry Styles and Celine Dion – as the 11 remaining couples take to the ballroom floor for their icon-inspired dances.

As for Gladiator star Harry, he channelled his inner Usher as he performed an Argentine Tango with Karen to the R&B star’s track, Caught Up.

He scored a very impressive 30 points for the routine, however, the performance divided the judging panel, with Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas criticising the routine, while Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke both liked what they saw.

But it was Karen’s reaction which stood out to fans, as she was visibly confused by some of the comments from Craig and Shirley, who didn’t seem to approve of

“I thought it was Icons Week, right? Or did I miss it?” the dancer, who is Strictly’s longest-serving professional, was heard saying as she and Harry headed up to the Clauditorium to give their reaction and get the judges’ scores.

And Strictly fans were quick to agree with her. @kerrysoutham said: “Disagree with the feedback about the choreo. He was supposed to be Usher. Don’t give them the theme if you dont want them to use it.”

@alidisco2019 commented: “This was my favourite dance of the night! Don’t get what Craig and Shirley were going on about? It was Icons week and he was doing an Usher inspired Argentine Tango!” @laura_laura_lauraaaaaaaa wrote: “Karen is right. Don’t have icons week if you dont want them to channel the icon.”

@kay_emery656 echoed: “Totally what Karen said, it is icons week right or did i miss it. You can’t criticise Harry for the choreography and forget it’s a themed week. I thought that was amazing. #Strictly.” @quandromache added: “HARRY AND KAREN SEVERELY UNDERMARKED??? that was one of my favourite argentines i’ve seen #strictly.”
