Stranger Things fans scared that Steve will die as dramatic new trailer lands for final season

Stranger Things fans have shared their concern about the potential fate of Steve Harrington in the wake of a dramatic new trailer. The new preview of the show’s final season was released today, showcasing the action to come as the gang face off against Vecna one last time.
However, amid all the emotion and action, some viewers have noted the general lack of Joe Keery’s character amid the clips – though he does appear briefly in a few shots.
This has led some to theorise that Steve may meet his maker in the last episodes, one writing in the YouTube comments: “The lack of Steve in this trailer concerns me.”

However, this could of course all be a misdirection, and while there are theories that Steve could die in the final season, one doing the rounds suggests that he could possibly fake his own death. You can check out all the other theories right here.
Meanwhile, show creators the Duffer brothers have confirmed that Munson definitely won’t be reappearing in the final season following his death in season 4.
“I love that Joe Quinn is toying with people! But no, he’s dead,” Matt Duffer told Empire. “Joe is so busy anyway that everyone should know he’s not coming back. He’s shot like five movies since! When the hell has he got time to come and shoot Stranger Things? No, sadly, RIP. He’s fully under that ground.”

Elsewhere, Ross Duffer has confirmed that fans will finally learn the truth about the Upside Down in the final episodes.
“Every season would be like, ‘Should we talk about it?’ And we’d go, ‘No, let’s wait.’ And then finally, we’re like, ‘Well, we have to now!'” he told Variety.
Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are streaming on Netflix. Season five premieres on 26 November.
