3 Paramount+ Shows Everyone’s Talking About This Weekend (#1 Is Addictive)

If you’ve been sleeping on Paramount+, this weekend’s binge-watching lineup is your wake-up call. These three premium shows perfectly showcase the best of what the streamer has to offer this Fall – and best of all, they can all be started and finished by Sunday evening.
Paramount+ is home to all of Taylor Sheridan’s beloved TV series, including Tulsa King, Lioness, and Landman. While any given handful of Sheridan’s shows continuously rotates on the streamer’s top 10 list, there are still plenty of fantastic streaming options on Paramount+ outside the “Sheridan-verse” worth diving into.
Classic franchises like Yellowstone and NCIS are always just a few clicks away for Paramount+ subscribers. If, however, you’re looking to switch things up this weekend, perhaps with a critically acclaimed series or a hidden gem you’ve never heard of, you’ve come to the right place. Screen Rant’s TV expert has hand-picked the three Paramount+ shows perfect to binge-watch this weekend, October 24–26, 2025.
The Woman In The Wall
Paramount+ is quite limited in its selection of horror content, but The Woman in the Wall is one of the best and most spooky original series on the streaming platform. Released in 2023, the series is mainly a psychological drama and suspenseful mystery thriller starring Ruth Wilson, best known for her roles in TV shows like Luther and movies like Locke.
The series originally aired on BBC One before it was added to Showtime’s collection in the U.S., and is now streaming exclusively on Paramount+. The official logline reads: “Lorna Brady (Wilson) wakes one morning to find a corpse in her house with no idea who the dead woman is. She doubts herself, because she has long suffered from extreme bouts of sleepwalking.”
For fans of the critically acclaimed (and seriously overlooked) Hulu series Say Nothing, The Woman in the Wall is a must-watch because it was written by the same creator, Joe Murtagh, who also created the celebrated 2020 gangster series Gangs of London. The Woman in the Wall received a strong audience score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Boston Globe summed up the 6-episode series quite well. “The uncompromising approach to the horrors committed by people of God, and the women who were victimized by them, is something to see, and something to remember.” While not truly a horror show, it is one of the eeriest Paramount+ series you can watch this weekend as Halloween approaches.
Dexter: Original Sin
Dexter: Original Sin may have been unfairly canceled after one season under new leadership at Paramount+, but that doesn’t make it instantly forgettable. In fact, for those who have yet to dive into the Dexter franchise, it may just be the perfect new entry point into the beloved serial killer franchise.
Dexter: Original Sin, the first prequel series in the Dexter TV universe, faced a great deal of pressure ahead of its December 2024 release, especially after Dexter: New Blood, the franchise’s first sequel series, failed to satisfy audiences and tie a bow on the franchise. Fortunately, that led to Dexter: Resurrection, which is arguably the best Dexter season of all time, and Original Sin played a key role in revitalizing the classic Showtime series.
Dexter: Original Sin also features a slate of new actors playing original series characters, even Michael C. Hall’s iconic vigilante killer Dexter Morgan, who is portrayed by Patrick Gibson in the prequel. Given all that could go wrong with Original Sin, the series ended up being a pretty great experiment, earning a 78% Rotten Tomatoes audience score and an 8.2 IMDb rating.
Original Sin also reveals several details and developments that were previously unknown in the OG series, particularly surrounding Dexter’s adoptive father, Harry Morgan, portrayed by Christian Slater (and James Remar in the original). While Dexter: Resurrection has a great 95% RT score, you’ll have to be fully caught up on the nine previous seasons to fully enjoy it. Meanwhile, all you have to do for Original Sin is press play.
MobLand
MobLand, starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, is one of the greatest new series of 2025, and one of the very best crime drama series on Paramount+. If you’re looking for a gripping series to watch ahead of the various Taylor Sheridan shows this Fall, including Landman season 2 in November and Mayor of Kingstown season 4 this Sunday, then MobLand is as good as it gets.
For fans of Hardy, binge-watching this series is a no-brainer if you somehow haven’t caught it already. The series, which consists of 10 hour-long episodes in its first season, was created by Ronan Bennett, known for his other celebrated shows like Top Boy, The Day of the Jackal, and Gunpowder. MobLand earned a solid 76% Rotten Tomatoes score and an 8.4 IMDb rating, placing it just outside IMDb’s Top 250 TV shows.
There’s nothing “spooky” or “cozy” about MobLand – but it’s hands down one of the new flagship series of Paramount+. A second season is on the way and could arrive sometime next year. There’s plenty of time to get into the acclaimed series, but if you’re not set on a horror or comfort show this weekend, then you’ll have a great time watching MobLand on Paramount+.
