Pre-Match Press – Bolton Wanderers | Brian Barry-Murphy

City recorded a 2-1 win over Reading last time out, with a crucial equaliser coming from loanee Omari Kellyman.
Brian continued: “I’m very pleased with the amount of progress he’s making. We’re wary of how much we want to push him and expose him to playing long periods in games.
“He hasn’t gone past the 60-minute mark for us yet. While we’re pushing him and we want to be competitive, at this stage of the season, I think you’ll see the benefits of what he can do later on in the campaign once he gets that consistency and confidence going from game to game.
“We see him very much as a central player who has an incredible ability to arrive in the box and score goals.
“He’s a brilliant finisher, but at the moment, opportunities have arose in wide areas. Ollie Tanner is injured and Omari’s level of performance in training has been so good that he has played in that wide position.
“His combination with Ronan [Kpakio] who can attack on the outside of Omari has been a good solution. The best of him is yet to come.”
