This Saturday night will feel a little lonely, as there will be no live taping of the hit comedy sketch show “Saturday Night Live.”
That’s right, after pop singer Sabrina Carpenter pulled double-duty as host and musical guest for the Oct. 18 show, “SNL” is taking a break before welcoming a wave of November hosts and musical guests.
Here’s what to know about the next “Saturday Night Live” episode, including when it airs, where to watch, and who’s hosting.
Will there be a ‘Saturday Night Live’ episode on Oct. 25?
No. The comedy sketch show is taking a break and will not air a new episode on Saturday, Oct. 25. The show will return on Nov. 1 and continue through Nov. 15, with a new batch of guests and musical hosts.
Who’s hosting SNL on Nov. 1?
Actor Miles Teller, known for his roles in “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Divergent” and “Whiplash,” will host “Saturday Night Live” when the show returns on Nov. 1, the show announced on X.
Teller made his hosting debut in 2022 during the Season 48 premiere. Although he’s only headlined the show once before, the 38-year-old was featured in “Bronx Beat,” one of the show’s most beloved sketches, for “SNL’s” 50th anniversary special on Feb. 16, according to NBC.
In the skit, “SNL” alum Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph play chatty talk show hosts with heavy New York accents. During the show’s anniversary special, the two reprised their roles, where they chatted with Teller before being joined by Mike Myers.
Who is the musical guest for ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Nov. 1?
Joining Teller as the musical guest for the first November show is singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile, who is releasing her eighth studio album, “Returning to Myself,” on Oct. 24. This will be the 11-time Grammy Award-winning artist’s fourth overall episode on “SNL,” and her third as a solo musical guest.
Carlile performed in Season 50 alongside Elton John and host Jack Black, and sang “The Joke” for “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert.”
When does ‘SNL’ Season 51 return?
“SNL” returned to late-night TV Oct. 4, with three straight weeks of episodes per NBC’s website. The show doesn’t have a guest for Oct. 25 and will return to TV screens on Nov. 1 through Nov. 15, with the following hosts.
- Nov. 1 – Miles Teller/Brandi Carlile.
- Nov. 8 – Nikki Glaser/sombr.
- Nov. 15 – Glen Powell/Olivia Dean.
