Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash with lamp-post

Police have issued a statement following the incident in the Bransholme area at the weekend

A motorcycle rider has suffered “life-threatening injuries” after crashing into a lamp-post, police say. The incident happened on Noddle Hill Way, in the Bransholme area, at around 6pm on Saturday (October 25).

Humberside Police said a 26-year-old man was riding a red motorcycle when he crashed into a lamp-post near the junction of Hucknall Garth. A spokesperson added: “He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in a critical condition.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the collision. Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage, or was in the area around the time and may have seen the motorcycle prior to the collision is urged to contact us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 370 of 25 October 2025.”
