Monday’s Campaign Roundup, 11.3.25: Polls show Sherrill with narrow edge at the finish line

Today’s installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.
* In the final round of polling in New Jersey’s gubernatorial race, Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherrill narrowly leads former Republican Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli in the latest Suffolk University poll (46%-42%), Quinnipiac University poll (51%-43%) and Fox News poll (52%-45%).
* In the final polling for Virginia’s gubernatorial race, a Roanoke College poll found former Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger ahead of Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, 51%-41%.
* While the gubernatorial races are this week’s highest-profile contests, there are a great many other Election Day 2025 races worth watching, and the folks at Bolts have put together a handy “cheat sheet” you’ll want to bookmark.
* In redistricting news, Republican policymakers in Ohio have approved a new congressional map intended to improve GOP chances in a couple of districts, though the gambit isn’t as brazen as related recent efforts in Texas, North Carolina and Missouri.
* On a related note, Virginia Democrats are also moving forward with a plan to redraw their state’s congressional map.
* In Maine’s U.S. Senate race, Graham Platner’s campaign manager and political director recently resigned, and now the Democratic candidate has lost his finance director, too.
* And in developments that probably won’t do her gubernatorial campaign in South Carolina any favors, Republican Rep. Nancy Mace was involved in a heated confrontation with airport police and Transportation Security Administration agents at the Charleston International Airport on Thursday morning, according to an incident report from the Charleston County Aviation Authority Police Department that was obtained by NBC News.
