It’s a great day for Doireann Garrihy and Mark Mehigan as the couple have welcomed their first child together. The pair, who tied the knot in December 2024, were thrilled as they revealed their little one is happy and healthy.
The new parents took to social media to announce the exciting news, with the RTÉ presenter sweetly captioning the post: ‘Our baby, Rosie. A love like this we’ve never known. ❤️.’
Friends and family alike rushed to congratulate the couple, with Doireann’s sisters Ailbhe and Aoibhín leading the way.

Mark and Doireann announced that they were expecting their first little one in April with a heartwarming post that showed her waving about a picture of the first scan.
Doireann was glowing in the picture, which showed her wearing a stylish, oversized checked shirt to cover her blossoming bump. Her hubby Mark placed a hand on her stomach, and the other hand punched the air in delight in the sweet snap.

The Dancing with the Stars host said that the pair ‘are beside ourselves with joy’ at the time. She wrote: ‘Here’s to the greatest chapter yet.’
The arrival comes less than a year after the couple said ‘I do’, surrounded by their closest family and friends, and hosted a lavish celebration at the five-star K-Club Hotel in Kildare.
