India will take on Pakistan in a high-profile match at the Hong Kong Sixes. The arch-rivals have been clubbed in pool C along with Kuwait. India and Pakistan recently met during the Asia Cup, where the Men in Blue defeated Pakistan thrice, including the final. The tournament also saw a massive controversy as Asian Cricket Council (ACC) head Mohsin Naqvi left with the trophy after India refused to collect it from him, who is also Pakistan’s interior minister.
India-Pakistan ties are at an all-time low after the Pahalgam attack. As a protest against the attack, India refused to shake hands with the Pakistani counterparts during the Asia Cup. It will be interesting to see if India continue the trend during the Hong Kong sixes game today, November 7.

What Is Hong Kong Sixes?
The Hong Kong Sixes is a cricket tournament started in the 1990s. It was organised to give Hong Kong fans a chance to witness international stars in action, despite the city being an associate ICC member. The tournament sees plenty of former international cricketers representing their country. It’s a six-over contest played with six players on each side. The format for the 2025 edition has been kept simple: the top three teams in each group play in a round-robin format, and the top two teams qualify for the quarterfinals.
