Eastbound I-90 closes due to spinouts and snow near North Bend

A section of I-90 eastbound closed to traffic shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday due to multiple vehicle spinouts and adverse weather conditions, according to the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

The spinouts were blocking the interstate at milepost 47 near the Denny Creek exit, east of North Bend, as of 10:45 p.m.

The estimated time for reopening the highway has not been determined.

Snow and slush are currently covering the roadway, and chains are required on all vehicles except those with all-wheel drive. Oversize vehicles are prohibited.

A post on social media by Washington State Patrol’s District 6 indicated that the closure extends from milepost 47 to milepost 56, just east of the Summit at Snoqualmie.
