Texas vs. Kentucky volleyball: Live updates, score, how to watch

No. 3 Kentucky delivered a commanding sweep over No. 2 Texas in the highly-anticpated matchup between the top dogs of the SEC. The Wildcats silenced a roaring Greggory Gym with the 3-0 victory, extending their SEC win streak to 22 matches.
The Wildcats came out firing on all cylinders, setting the tone early with a dominant 25-14 win in the opening set. Kentucky was without an attacking error in Set 1 and took 36 swings before their first.
The second set proved to be a thriller, featuring 11 ties as Kentucky fought off a 10-1 socring run and three Texas set-points en route to the 28-26 win.
In a highly-contested third set, the Longhorn’s held momentum early and shifted the momentum. The Cats flipped the script at the 20-point mark and overcame the Texas lead, sealing the statement sweep, 27-25, with a Longhorn net violation.
Eva Hudson powered the Wildcat win with 20 kills on a .452 clip, 10 digs and two blocks while her outside duo in Brooklyn DeLeye logged 18 kills of her own on .417 hitting. The Wildcat offense recorded a .353 hitting percentage on the day that was backed by the impressive back-court defensive skills of Molly Tuozzo.
Kentucky handed Texas only its second loss of the season and first in a three-set fashion. The sweep marks the Longhorns’ first three-set loss at home since 2023.
With the win, Kentucky maintains sole possession of first place in the SEC while earning only their second win against the Longhorns since 1994.
