One box contained a shield, the other was empty.
Unfortunately for Mark, his was empty and he was sent packing.
And later, a heated roundtable saw votes cast towards banishing four other stars – David, Jonathan, Nick, and Joe Marler.
But it was ultimately Stephen Fry that was banished in emotional scenes where he revealed he was indeed a faithful but had had the time of his life on the show.

As is always the case, the two banished stars then had the opportunity to discover who the real traitors were, as they sat down for The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, with host Ed Gamble.
Stephen was left in pure disbelief as he discovered Jonathan Ross is amongst the traitors.
“FFS,” he exclaimed as he read his name out.
Upon finding out that Cat Burns is also a traitor, Stephen couldn’t contain his excitement after previously sharing his suspicions about her.
“Yes, Cat, I knew it, I knew it, I am so pleased about that, I really am” he exclaimed while throwing his arm into the air.
Stephen then found out about Alan, and hilariously remarked: “What will Paloma say?”
He cheekily added: “Wow. Does he just want to end the relationship?”
Ed was left in hysterics by Stephen’s response, and also by Mark’s.
Mark couldn’t believe it either as he saw Jonathan’s name on the piece of paper.
Ed encouraged him to read out the name, to which he exclaimed: “Jonathan f****** Ross.”
When he discovered that Alan was a traitor he left out a big exhale and threw the piece of paper onto the table, defeated.
He said: “It’s Alan. Well played though.”
Mark was shocked discover Cat’s name written down, and audibly gasped as he appeared to swear and kick his legs.
“Man, she’s good,” he told the host.
Meanwhile, there was one of the most dramatic cliffhangers to date in Celebrity Traitors last night, leaving three contestants in line for murder.
The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, saw Kate Garraway, Lucy Beaumont, and Nick Mohammed all at risk of the chop as the credits rolled.
In an audacious twist, the Traitors – Alan Carr, Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross – were told they must kill in plain sight for the second time this series.
The trio earmarked comic Lucy, Ted Lasso star Nick and GMB favourite Kate as their three potential victims and the trio learned of the savage development as they received a telegram.
The message inside explained that they had to return to the giant chessboard – the scene of the challenge from earlier in the episode- were they would learn if they would be killed by the traitors face to face.
“You must walk down to the chessboard and stand on the board alone,” the telegram said.

“The traitors chess piece will then move towards you. When it stops, you must turn around. If you see Claudia, you are safe. However, if you turn around and see the traitors you have been murdered.”
In an agonising cliffhanger, Nick, Lucy and Kate were shown, one by one, heading alone to the chessboard in the dead of night.
