About The Avalanche Third Jersey…

On Tuesday, the Colorado Avalanche launched their third jersey, a perfect replica of the Quebec Nordiques’ uniform. They used a video featuring Joe Sakic for the launch, the now executive can be seen putting on the jersey of the team he captained for years in Quebec before the franchise was moved to Colorado.
They also released the schedule of games they’ll wear the Nordiques jersey, and on of those dates, is November 29, at home against the Montreal Canadiens. So for one day this season, we’ll get to the the Habs take on the Nordiques like in the good old days.
Do you like seeing teams dig deep for third jerseys and go back in time, even if it can be painful for fans of the former franchises? The Carolina Hurricanes are doing it as well, using a Hartford Whalers jersey.
Personally, I love it and I’m looking forward to the November 29 game, I grew up watching the Canadiens battle it out with the Nordiques and it will be nice to see it again, even if it’s only for one day…What do you think?
