Gardaí are at the scene of an incident in Dublin city centre, with Dame Street sealed off.
It is understood that one person was struck by a vehicle during this incident in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The road between the main junction at Dame Street and George Street and up to City Hall is now sealed off.
There is a significant Garda presence in the area.
It will remain closed for the coming hours as Garda Forensic Officers are due at the scene to examine it.
Diversions are in place and gardaí are asking people to take alternative routes if possible.
