Entire city turns on Harry and Meghan

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not win over any Los Angeles Dodgers fans during Game 4 of the World Series.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were given the royal treatment for the contest at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday (AEDT) against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Seated in the front row directly behind the pitch clock, the couple rocked matching Dodgers caps and were routinely shown on the broadcast feed.

The MLB even hyped up their attendance by posting a slow-mo video of their arrival before posting an image of them watching on from the front row.

Both posts attracted close to 6 million views with just a tick under 5000 comments, most of which came from furious fans.

TSN Sports’ head of digital Marissa Roberto wrote: “Damn they really said f*** the commonwealth.”

Digital campaign manager Stephen Taylor added: “Please respect their privacy.”

Sports journalist Tom Fornelli wrote: “Wow, Prince Harry has turned his back on Canada.”

As anger from the Dodgers faithful came flooding in, many couldn’t believe the couple were given the preferential seats over two local legends.

Seated directly behind was LA icon and Dodgers part-owner Magic Johnson and four-time World Series winner and Dodgers legend Sandy Koufax.

The sight of the two icons sitting behind the royal duo, who had the best seats in the house, left countless viewers incensed.

Bill Post wrote on X: “The real royalty is right behind them.”

Another fan wrote: “Prince Harry and his wife sitting in front of Sandy Koufax? Un-fn-real.”

A third added: “Why the hell are they in front of Sandy?”

It was unclear if Harry and Meghan – who reside in Los Angeles – paid for their seats or were invited as VIPs.

Things got even uglier for the couple when they were shown on the big screen in the middle of the contest.

Fans in the stands didn’t hold back as a loud chorus of boos rung out around the stadium as cameras zoomed in on the pair.

Fans were also quick to point to the couple being a jinx for the Dodgers as the Blue Jays went on to win the contest 6-2 and level the World Series up at 2-2.

The night in Los Angeles turned into a celebrity affair with countless stars rolling into Dodgers Stadium to watch the action.

Brad Pitt was spotted in the stands while Sydney Sweeney took in the game from a private suite.

LeBron James made an appearance with his wife, with Vanessa Bryant and Donald Glover also in attendance.

The contest came less than 24 hours after a gruelling 18-inning game three clash that saw the Dodgers prevail.

This time around it wasn’t to be with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. spoiling the party with a two-run home run to help guide the Blue Jays to victory and force the series to go at least six games.

Guerrero’s two-run blast off Dodgers starter Shohei Ohtani and a superb pitching performance from ace Shane Bieber laid the foundations for a gutsy victory that silenced Dodger Stadium.

“I’m always trying to compete for my city, compete for the team, and when you’re competing, good things happen,” said Guerrero after a victory that ensures the best-of-seven series will head back to Toronto for game six on Saturday.

Game five of the best-of-seven series takes place at Dodger Stadium on Thursday before the series heads back to Toronto for games six and seven on Saturday and Sunday.
