Mariners vs. Blue Jays score and live updates: Seattle takes 1-0 lead in first inning of Game 7

With that white-panel Blue Jays’ cap and that thick mustache, Blue Jays starter Shane Bieber giving off some serious Dave Stieb vibes. Stieb, a Level of Excellence member whose name graces the facing of the 300 level above right field, was a dominant righty in the 1980s — but Toronto fans have to hope Bieber fares better in this Game 7 than Stieb did in the Blue Jays’ only other Game 7. That was in the 1985 ALCS against Kansas City at old Exhibition Stadium, and Stieb allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings as the Royals won the pennant, 6-2.
