Tennessee Athletic Director Danny White is wasting no time in the search for a new head coach for Tennessee baseball. White is expected to interview Coastal Carolina head coach Kevin Schnall sometime on Friday, sources told our media partners at Volquest.

Schnall went 56-13 in his first season at Coastal Carolina, taking the team to the College World Series, where they lost to LSU.

Just last week, Schnall signed a new contract with Coastal Carolina through 2030 that pays $500K annually.

Before taking over as head coach, Schnall was the program’s associate head coach the past nine seasons. He also served as an assistant coach at Central Florida (2013-15) after 12 seasons at Coastal (2001-12).

Schnall played for Coastal Carolina from 1995-99 as the team’s catcher.
