Bo Bichette smashing home runs during Toronto Blue Jays batting practice

The Toronto Blue Jays are hoping to advance to the World Series against the LA Dodgers, and it’s looking like they may have Bo Bichette if they do.

Bichette has been stuck on the sidelines throughout the postseason as he rehabs a knee injury. Since then, the Jays have given him a lot of runway to get back and healthy, dispatching the New York Yankees in the ALDS and then taking their ALCS battle with the Seattle Mariners the distance.

It looks like the 27-year-old is gearing up for a comeback if Toronto can get to the World Series. He was seen blasting home runs during Blue Jays batting practice on Sunday.

Not having Bichette has created a big hole in the Jays’ lineup, but they have been getting some clutch contributions from players like Nathan Lukes, Davis Schneider, and Myles Straw. Still, Bichette is one of the best hitters in the entire league, and the bats have gone cold at times in this series against the Mariners.

Luckily, it looks like Bichette’s bat will be in midseason form if he gets a chance to play in the World Series. He was on fire before he got injured in early September, with a .311 batting average, 94 RBIs, and 19 home runs. Getting him back would be a massive boon for his Blue Jays’ offence.

Toronto narrowly avoided another devastating injury to a star player with George Springer. There was some uncertainty that he would be available for a must-win Game 6, but those doubts were put to rest when the Jays confirmed he would bat in his usual lead-off spot.

The Jays, however, will need to string together two straight victories if they want to see Bichette play more baseball this season.
