The race for this year’s Lombardi Trophy appears wide open with half the season down. The Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots and Denver Broncos sit atop the NFL with a 7-2 record, but a host of other franchises look strong through the first couple months and appear ready to contend for the league title.
On the flip side, a handful of teams are seemingly playing out the string, including the Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints.
