Madoc’s Ben Danford is on the move in the Ontario Hockey League after a blockbuster trade.

Danford, as well as defencemen Zackary Sandhu, have been traded from the Oshawa Generals to the Brantford Bulldogs.

In exchange, the Bulldogs sent over forward Aiden O’Donnell, defencemen Lucas Moore and Luca Diplacido, and nine OHL draft picks.

A product of the Quinte Red Devils, the 19-year-old defencemen was selected 31st overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Danford has 11 goals and 72 assists in 196 OHL games and was captain of the Oshawa Generals.

He’ll join a Bulldogs team that has not lost a game in regulation so far this season, and occupies first place in the OHL’s Eastern Conference.
