Coronation Street legend Eva Price’s new husband Ben could be set for a shock affair on the cobbles, fans have predicted.
Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) made her return to the ITV soap this week after seven years. Viewers will recall that she was last seen in 2018, when she left the cobbles for a new life in France.
Eva decided to start a new chapter with her young daughter, Susie Price, following the devastating suicide of her little girl’s father, Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) that year.
But this week, Eva was back in Weatherfield after her new husband Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) surprised her by buying her the Rovers Return, meaning she was the landlady.

Eva was over the moon and quickly reunited with her former neighbours, pals and also her sister Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), as well as nemesis Maria Sutherland (Samia Longchambon).
As Eva and Ben unpacked, more of Eva’s new family showed up, including daughter Susie. What’s more, Ben’s son rocked up too – who turned out to be Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike), Dee-Dee Bailey’s (Channique Sterling-Brown) new boyfriend she has been dating for the past few months.
Eva could be set for heartbreak
Dee-Dee was stunned to discover Ben was Ollie’s father, especially as she initially clashed with Ben when he arrived at the Rovers, calling him out for calling her “darling”.
Nonetheless, Dee-Dee quickly got to know Ollie’s family as they settled into Weatherfield. However, fans can’t help but suspect that a cheating twist is on the cards for Dee-Dee and Ben, especially as Dee-Dee is leaving the soap soon.
Fans have predicted a cheating twist
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person said: “I’m sorry I had to laugh out loud, ollie to dee dee this is my dad, oooo gonna be fun I wonder how fast an affair is gonna happen.” Someone else agreed: “I was thinking the same thing.” A third chimed in: “Oh here we go.” A fourth wrote: “Probably leads to her exit.”
Dee-Dee actress Channique announced earlier this month that she was leaving the soap. In an Instagram post, she wrote: “After three whirlwind years of Dee-Dee Bailey, I’ve decided to say farewell to the cobbles.”
She added: “Bittersweet to be saying goodbye, but I am so excited for pastures new and enjoying the end of playing Princess Diana and her many expressions.”
