Earle-Sears campaign bus catches on fire

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – A campaign bus for Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears caught on fire on Thursday.
“While en-route to an event, our campaign bus caught fire. Everyone is safe,” the Republican candidate for governor posted on social media. “Thank you to the first responders who got to the scene quickly — we are so grateful for you.”
She made the post on X at 1:17 p.m. According to her campaign schedule, Earle-Sears was scheduled to make a stop in Rockingham County on Thursday afternoon.
“I’m relieved to hear Winsome Earle-Sears and her team are safe after her campaign bus caught on fire this afternoon,” Democratic candidate for governor Abigail Spanberger posted on social media. “I’m grateful to our first responders for their quick action — and I’m thinking of the Lt. Governor and her team after this scary incident.”
