Connacht Club Championship fixtures confirmed for Sligo’s Shamrock Gaels and Cloonacool

The Sligo Senior Football Championship winners Shamrock Gaels and Junior Football Championship winners Cloonacool know the details of their respective Connacht Championship outings.
The Sligo Senior Football Championship winners Shamrock Gaels, who won their first senior title since 1992 when they beat Coolera Strandhill last weekend, will take on Galway champions Maigh Cuilinn in the AIB Club Senior Football Championship quarter-final on Sunday, November 9 in Tubbercurry with a 1.30pm throw-in time.
Gaels beat the reigning Connacht champions Coolera Strandhill 2-11 to 0-8 in the Homeland Senior Football Championship final replay at Quigabar in Enniscrone last Sunday afternoon.
Junior champions Cloonacool will take on Roscommon Junior A champions St Croan’s in their AIB Club Junior Football Championship quarter-final on Sunday, November 9 in Dr Hyde Park with a throw-in time of 1.30pm.
The Sligo Intermediate Football Championship winners Coolaney Mullinabreena await the winners of Kilmeena v Caltra, with their semi-final to take place on the weekend of November 15/16.
Easkey’s AIB Junior Club Hurling Championship semi-final will also take place on the weekend of November 15/16, with details to be announced in due course.
