DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for October 31

Bill Yin makes his DraftKings Pick6 selections for tonight’s slate of NBA games.

We’ve got a spooky eight game slate tonight for Halloween, tipping off with a rematch between the 76ers and the Celtics. We’ll also have a Western Conference clash between the Lakers and the Grizzlies, for which Luka Doncic is questionable. The Clippers and the Pelicans round out the night at 10:30 PM.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for today’s NBA slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my six favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Jaylen Brown More than 22.5 Points

Jaylen Brown has been putting up a ton of shots this season with 18 FGA per game. He’s currently averaging 26.8 PPG, which would be a career-high for him should his scoring continue. He’s hot from the field with 52% FG and lights-out from three with 37% shooting from beyond the arc. History tells us that he’ll cool off a bit, but due to the volume of shots he’s taking, it’s easy to see Brown recording more than 22.5 tonight against the 76ers. In the Celtics’ first game of the season against Philly, Brown put up 25-6-4 in a one point loss.

Nikola Jokic Less than 27.5 Points

Jokic is coming off yet another stellar season, having finished top two in MVP voting for five straight years. He’s been on a truly historic run, reaching arguably one of the highest peaks in NBA history. He looks as fresh as ever, with a league-high 11.3 APG alongside 14.5 RPG. Jokic is only averaging 20.3 PPG, so I like him to get Less than 27.5 tonight as he’s looked comfortable facilitating. He’s scored 21, 14, 25, and 21 points in his four games this season en route to three wins and one loss. He’s recorded a triple double in all four games.

Jokic isn’t a player who prefers to score first; he’s happy to get his teammates involved, and typically the Nuggets find a ton of success without relying on Jokic as their primary scorer. I’m expecting this trend to continue tonight against a weak Blazers team. Jokic should have no problem carving up this defense with his world class playmaking abilities, and probably won’t need to score much.

Jalen Johnson More Than 20.5 Points

Jalen Johnson will be the Hawks’ primary offensive option tonight given the recent injury to Trae Young. A teammate fell on Young’s knee during the Hawks’ game against the Nets on the 29th, and thus he’ll miss tonight’s game against the depleted Indiana Pacers.

In that game, Johnson would go on to record 23 points. I’m expecting Johnson to go over 20.5 tonight because he’ll be getting a ton of shots and also playing a league-average defense thus far. Indiana has not been impressive by any metric with the injuries to multiple key starters, but there’s a lot of room here for Johnson to continue his impressive fifth year campaign as the talented wing searches for his first All-Star appearance. Johnson is averaging 20.5 PPG, 7 RPG, and 4.3 APG through four games while shooting 58% from the field.
