The Lakers will look to win their fourth game of the season and remain undefeated on the road.

Smart has missed the last two games due to a right quad contusion. He suffered the injury on Sunday in the team’s thrilling win over the Sacramento Kings.

The 31-year-old guard played through the injury, finishing the game with 11 points in 31 minutes.

This is a huge boost for the Lakers, who have dealt with a ton of injuries early on this season. While they are still missing most of their key players, the return of Smart will do wonders for them, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Smart participated in morning shootaround and appears to be on track to return despite being listed as questionable the day before.

Not only was Smart upgraded to questionable, but so was their superstar guard, Luka Doncic. Doncic, who has missed the last three games with a finger and leg injury, was also upgraded to questionable ahead of Friday’s contest. There is a chance Doncic could return to the court, although he is iffy hours before tip-off.

Doncic participated in the morning shootaround on Friday, and if he feels good closer to tip-off, he could be back in the lineup for the purple and gold.

Update: Doncic and Smart were recently upgraded to probable.
