Shaedon Sharpe struggles with efficiency in opener

by Bruno Mulé | Trail Blazers Correspondent | Thu, Oct 23rd 10:43am EDT

Shaedon Sharpe scored 15 points but struggled with his shot, going just 5-for-20 from the field (3-of-9 3Pt, 2-of-2 FT) in Portland’s 118-114 loss to Minnesota on Wednesday. He added two rebounds, four assists, and one steal over 29 minutes.

Fantasy Impact:

Fresh off signing a four-year, $90 million extension, Sharpe was heavily involved, leading the Trail Blazers with 20 field goal attempts. While the efficiency wasn’t there in the season opener, the sheer volume is a clear indicator that the offense will run through him significantly this season. This high usage gives Sharpe “massive upside” despite the inefficient start.
