NI actor Adrian Dunbar and his daughter Madeleine have opened up on family life during younger years and her proudest moments of her father.
The pair feature on Romesh Ranganathan’s Parents’ Evening which is back on ITV for its second series. Also during this Saturday’s show, Romesh’s mum Shanthi acts out a scene from Line of Duty to Dunbar.
The celebrity game show, which tests parents’ knowledge of their kids’ general knowledge, sees Romesh team up once more with his score-keeping mum.

Three celebrity pairings compete each week to win money for their chosen charity. The fourth episode stars Adrian and Madeleine Dunbar, along with Maisie Bourke and Jo Brand, and Michelle Forshaw and Layton Williams.
In a Q&A with Adrian and his daughter Madeleine, she was asked what her dad was like as a parent growing up. Madeleine said: “He was very funny. He’s funnier than anyone knows because of the roles he plays, but he’s actually a bit of a comedian.”
And on describing Madeleine as a child growing up, Adrian said: “Very strong-willed. She had a really good best friend called Stephanie and the two of them kind of did their own thing all the time, and had a right old laugh, but she was very active, very funny, that kind of thing.”
Madeleine was also asked if she had a proud memory from growing up about her dad’s career, or an early memory of realising her dad was an actor and on TV.
She said: “I think seeing dad play Brendan Behan in a play called ‘Brendan at the Chelsea’. I was like ‘Oh wow…’ I just forgot I was watching my dad, and for him to be able to do that to his own family member is pretty serious. That was amazing.
“Oh and also, one of my proudest moments was when dad was on Inside No9, because I’m obsessed with The League of Gentlemen, it was huge!”
Adrian added: “I knew that would be a big deal for her.”
Romesh Ranganathan’s Parents’ Evening airs Saturday at 9.20pm on ITV1 and ITVX
