Adelaide weather forecast for Saturday November 1st and the days ahead

Pinch and a punch for the first day of the month! Adelaide is set for a week of mixed weather as November begins, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting everything from sunshine to storms and a sharp drop in temperatures.
Today will see mostly sunny skies across the city, with a warm top of 27 degrees. But residents should make the most of it, with a cool change on the way and showers expected to begin from Sunday.
A high-pressure system currently sitting over the central coasts will move into Bass Strait this morning, while a front approaches from the west. This front is expected to sweep across coastal waters through Sunday, bringing with it the first of the week’s unsettled conditions. A post-frontal trough will pass over central and eastern coasts on Monday before clearing to the east by evening. By Tuesday, another high-pressure system will begin to move into the Bight, leading to a cool south to southwesterly airstream across coastal waters.
Sunday’s forecast brings a minimum of 19 degrees and a maximum of 26 degrees, with a few showers and the chance of a thunderstorm in the morning or early afternoon.
The change will really hit by Monday, with temperatures plunging to a low of 11 degrees and a top of just 17 degrees. Showers are expected throughout the day, with the possibility of an afternoon thunderstorm.
Conditions will stay unsettled midweek. Both Tuesday and Wednesday will bring cool mornings of around 10 to 11 degrees, reaching maximums of 17 and 20 degrees respectively. A few showers are likely across both days.
There’s some improvement expected by Thursday, when the temperature will climb slightly to a low of 14 degrees and a top of 24 degrees. However, the chance of showers will linger.
The week will finish on a damp note, with Friday forecast to bring more showers and temperatures ranging between 16 and 21 degrees.
Across the rest of South Australia, the coming days will also bring changing conditions. Isolated showers and storms are expected in the west before a front moves across the state from Sunday, leading to widespread showers and possible thunderstorms. Cooler weather will spread from the west as the system moves through.
A marine wind warning is in place for the Far West Coast today, with strong winds expected to impact marine activities.
