It’s time for Basketball: Spurs at Phoenix Suns

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.
Undefeated. What a beautiful word. It probably won’t last forever, but I’d be happy with one more night of an unblemished record. It’s very possible tonight, because the Suns after several years of trying to build a championship roster by any means possible, have decided to finally embrace he concept of a rebuilding program after several years of luxury tax fueled mediocrity. Devin Booker is still one of the elite scorers in the league, but the rest of the roster consists of retreads and project players, and the odd NBA bad guy, like Dillon Brooks and Grayson Allen.
Some day the missing Spurs will join the team, and this unbeatable juggernaut will become a fully operational Death Star. Today is not that day. The Suns are not a good team but they are dangerous. If the Spurs have a letdown, this could be their first loss of the season, because Devin Booker can go nuclear at any time, especially against a home crowd. The Spurs need to take care of business early, and if they put this game away in the first half. Bismack Biyombo can probably hold his own against Mark Williams, so hopefully, Mitch won’t have to play Victor Wambanyama for 40 minutes again tonight. It’s probably great for his stats, but it would be nice for the big baguette to take it easy for the final few minutes of the game. Let’s watch and see.
Dillon Brooks, despite being out for the game, will attempt to trip a Spurs player from the Suns bench.
