DOUGLAS, Ga. (WALB) – A South Georgia resident won the top prize on a scratch-off game on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
A Douglas resident played the $3 million Jingle Jumbo Bucks scratcher from the Georgia Lottery, according to the Georgia Lottery website.
The winner claimed their prize on Wednesday and took home a total of $1,498,857 in cash.
The winning ticket was purchased from T&M Food Mart on Peterson Avenue South, according to Douglas Now.
“As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from scratchers, Fantasy 5, Quick Win, and Diggi Games benefit education in the state of Georgia,” the release said.
