Reddit Down Globally: Thousands Of Users Unable To Login App And Website, Check Latest Updates

Reddit Outage: After a major Amazon Web Services outage that we got to see a few days ago, now it seems like Reddit is walking the same path. In a recent development, more than ten thousand users have reported that Reddit is not working for them on a global level. Out of the total complaints, around 60% of them came for the application, 33 percent for the website, and around 8 percent for server connection.
Many users also took to social media platform X to complain about the disruption, sharing that they were unable to log in properly. The complain related to Reddit’s outage in the Indian specific website of Down Detector are also increasing constantly.
Until now, around 350 users have reported that they are facing issues while making a log in on the application. According to DownDetector, most users are facing difficulties with the website (49 per cent), followed by the app (44 per cent), and server connections (7 per cent).
At the time of updating this article, the global number of reports against the Reddit outage has crossed a whopping number of 20,000 in a few minutes. And this is not happening for the first time in the last 30 days. Pretty recently, on October 20, 2025, Reddit faced a major downtime where the the number of reported complaints were around 4,800, almost touched 5000. And now, the downtime is even superior than the last time as it has already crossed 20,000 complaints globally.
Not Only Reddit Is Down As AWS Is At It Yet Again
Yes, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is again facing an outage affecting multiple cloud regions. As per DownDetector, several reports are coming from the US-East-1 (Northern Virginia) region, which accounts for about 69 per cent of the problems. Apprximately 18 per cent of reports are coming from US-West-2 (Oregon) and 13 per cent from US-West-1 (California). Users complaints include issues liken slow loading, errors and failed connections. Many developers and companies that rely on AWS for hosting and data services say their applications are facing resistance.
