Bruce Willis’ Groundbreaking Crime Movie Finds a New Streaming Home Next Month

Many movies are considered masterpieces, but few are cited as changing the trajectory of the industry forever. One such movie is Quentin Tarantino‘s nonlinear crime epic Pulp Fiction, which popularized the narrative style and brought new life into the independent film scene. A movie that has become the inspiration for many filmmakers to have come since, Pulp Fiction is a film simply everyone should watch once, and luckily for those who haven’t, has joined a new streamer.
As of November 1, you can catch Pulp Fiction on Plex. The film joins the likes of John Landis’ An American Werewolf in London, the iconic horror hit The Blair Witch Project, the A24 comedy horror Dream Scenario, Charlotte Wells‘ devastating Aftersun, and much more. Pulp Fiction is iconic for many reasons, not least its ensemble of unforgettable characters. Among the eye-catching cast are Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, and Uma Thurman, all in career-defining roles, with a cameo from Christopher Walken with one of cinema’s best monologues added for good measure. For those yet to see Pulp Fiction, the movie’s synopsis reads:
“Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) are hitmen with a penchant for philosophical discussions. In this ultra-hip, multi-strand crime movie, their storyline is interwoven with those of their boss, gangster Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames); his actress wife, Mia (Uma Thurman); struggling boxer Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis); master fixer Winston Wolfe (Harvey Keitel) and a nervous pair of armed robbers, Pumpkin (Tim Roth) and Honey Bunny (Amanda Plummer).”
‘Pulp Fiction’ Won Many Awards
With a 92% critics’ score and 96% audience rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, Pulp Fiction is one of the most widely-celebrated films of all time. Back in 1994, the film won the prestigious Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, setting in motion an incredibly successful year of awards. At the Academy Awards, the film earned an impressive seven nominations, including nods for Travolta, Thurman, and Jackson, as well as Tarantino for the directing prize and a nomination for Best Picture. The film somehow only won one of these awards, picking up the Golden Statue for Best Original Screenplay. The film even picked up a Brit Award for Best Soundtrack.
Pulp Fiction is now streaming on Plex. Make sure to stay tuned to Collider for the latest streaming updates.
