Married at First Sight UK’s Welsh groom was left feeling “upset” as fans fumed over a “red flag” on Tuesday (October 28).
35-year-old operations director Ashley Dommett is currently matched with 31-year-old midwife Grace Law on the E4 programme’s tenth series.
Despite getting closer on their honeymoon, the couple have repeatedly clashed on their different values and humour.
During Monday’s (October 27) commitment ceremony, Grace and Ashley sought advice from the experts after having a huge argument. Mel Schilling urged the couple to talk through their differences, before the pair chose to stay in the experiment.
On Tuesday (October 28), the newlyweds were split up as couple swap got underway. However, before they were separated, Grace and Ashley were involved in another heated argument, reports OK!

As Grace brought up the issues that were previously discussed with the experts, a frustrated Ashley said: “Do we need to keep going back through it? I’ve taken on board what you’ve said. I don’t really want to argue about it again.”
Grace revealed that she felt “unsettled” after Ashley made a comment towards her that left her feeling uncomfortable.
“It’s more of the same jokes. I don’t like it,” she said.
Ashley was confused, saying: “It was a compliment. Do you ever step back and think, ‘Maybe, I’ve got that wrong?’
“I feel like I am really, really working hard at changing how I say things, but the only thing I’ve asked you to change is to see me for who I am.”

Grace interjected, saying: “I can’t do this. We’re just going round the houses as we always do.”
Ashley told the cameras: “This girl is never going to see me for who I am and if you never see me for who I am, what am I doing here?”
As Ashley packed his bag to leave the apartment for couple swap, he admitted: “I’m upset because I feel like I’ve done everything I possibly can to change your mind on the way you see me. I’ve just had a realisation that I don’t think it’s going to change.”
After her husband stormed out of the apartment, an upset Grace said: “He doesn’t take accountability… We clearly need some time apart because I am getting sick of it now.”

MAFS fans quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their frustration after watching the argument, with one person writing: “God this is red flag behaviour.”
“Ashley needs to run asap,” another added, while a third said: “Ashley is so defeated. Grace has broken him down.”
A fourth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: “Watching Grace & Ashley on #MAFSUK is so emotionally draining.”
Another similarly shared: “Grace and Ashley need to leave. It’s painful to watch now.”
Later in the episode, Ashley moved in with Abigail for couple swap, which made him realise he was “nowhere near” where he should be in his relationship with Grace.
“I need to have a conversation with Grace,” he admitted.
Married at First Sight UK airs Sunday to Wednesday on E4 at 9pm
