RICHMOND — Polls have closed in Virginia, in an election in which voters are selecting their first female governor, choosing between Democrat Abigail Spanberger and Republican Winsome Earle-Sears in a historic election widely watched as a referendum on the administration of President Donald Trump and a snapshot of the nation’s political mood.
