The Punt Acca: Laurence Morter’s three horse racing tips at Chepstow, Kempton and Musselburgh on Wednesday

Roysse (3.00 Chepstow)

Showed some good form last season, including when winning a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter in January. He has a tendency to be a bit keen in his races, as seen in his two non-finishes last season when he was going well but ultimately ran out of steam. However, he does travel strongly and looks the type to make a good chaser. A mark of 122 looks generous for his debut over fences. If he settles, he will be hard to beat.

Gweedore (3.28 Musselburgh)

Gweedore has been a bit out of sorts this season. After back-to-back second places at Musselburgh early in the campaign, he was not seen again until September and he has been rather disappointing since with three middling performances. However, there is cause for optimism coming into this. His course form is superb (has finished in the top two in 11 of his 15 starts at Musselburgh) and, down in class, he has a good opportunity to bounce back off a rating 10lb below his last winning mark.

Go Rimbaud (3.55 Kempton)

Has shown he is a decent prospect in his two starts and there are signs there could be more to come. A reasonable fourth place on his debut, when he only seemed to click what he was doing around half way, was followed up by a much more impressive second place at Kempton three weeks ago. He has shown signs of greenness still, but he is still developing. The drop back to seven furlongs should suit as he did not quite see the trip out last time. He has a great opportunity to go one better.
