WWE Star Says He’s Been ‘Totally F**ked’ By The Company Not Renewing His Contract After Injury

WWE

A WWE star says he’s been “totally f**ked” by the company not renewing his contract just after he suffered a serious foot injury.

Last month, Luke Menzies, formerly known as Ridge Holland, announced that WWE informed him his contract wouldn’t be renewed.

Menzies has now issued a statement closer to his official contract end date of November 14. He wrote:

I never thought I’d not be able to pay my mortgage.

I feel like I’ve just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE. Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal.

Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let’s be honest, that’s the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company.

Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too.

Talk about getting totally f**ked.

A year ago, Menzies took a paycut of around $200,000 when he made the decision to move from the main roster to NXT to look to rejuvenate his career.

One year later, WWE has now opted not to renew his deal.

After just undergoing surgery for a Lisfranc injury he suffered working a match in TNA against Moose, Menzies now can’t wrestle for around another seven months.

That essentially means he won’t have any guaranteed income for that period of time, because he can’t wrestle until he recovers from the surgery, and he’s no longer getting the pay he would have been getting from WWE throughout his recovery.

We wish Menzies all the best for his recovery and the entire situation.
