Your kid’s favorite movie is coming to the Macy’s parade, plus more good news for little demon hunters

Don’t throw away that Rumi costume yet!

The current favorite movie of every child between the ages of 3 and 13, “KPop Demon Hunters,” isn’t even close to leaving the limelight.

First, the more immediate good news: The women who voice HUNTR/X, a fictional K-pop band at the center of the hit streaming movie, will appear at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Audrey Nuna, EJAE and Rei Ami as well as two characters from the movie — Derpy Tiger and Sussie the magpie — will be part of the annual parade.

The parade will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 27 in all time zones on NBC and Peacock.

The second bit of good news (and maybe put in earplugs before sharing this with your children): Variety reports that Netflix and Sony have inked a deal for a new “KPop Demon Hunters” movie…to be released in 2029.

“We’ve set up so much for potential backstory,” “KPop Demon Hunters” co-director Maggie Kang told Variety in July. “Obviously, there’s a lot of questions that are left unanswered and areas that are not explored. We had to do that because there’s only so much movie you could tell in 85 minutes.”

How will Rumi, Mira and Zoey unpack generational trauma this time? Tune in…in four years…to find out.
