Palace trying to move Leeds game – Glasnerpublished at 14:37 GMT 5 November

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner on having to play three matches in six days in December, after their Carabao Cup quarter-final against Arsenal was rearranged for 23 December: “We are trying the same thing that Arsenal are trying, to move our Leeds game [currently scheduled for Sunday 21 December] forward to Saturday [20 December], so we don’t have two days between these games. Let’s see.
“We didn’t get a response until now from the Premier League, just to have the same as Arsenal, if their game is moved.
“I am always talking about making mistakes being part of development. I think that the EFL and the Premier League didn’t solve this problem before the start of the season – they will learn from it and I am pretty sure that next year they will have the solution before the start of the season.
“Maybe they needed this experience to solve it, not to rely that it won’t happen.
“Again, we will be ready, whatever the fixture is, but it is so far away, we have so many games until 23 December that at the moment I don’t care.”
“I rely on the club, that they get the Leeds game moved to the Saturday and then let’s see.”
