Molly-Mae Hague has admitted to deleting a social media app as she responded to some of the backlash to her latest docuseries release.
The former Love Island star first opened up her life to the cameras last year, releasing Molly-Mae: Behind It All on Prime Video in two parts earlier this year.
The series give fans a glimpse into the 26-year-old’s life as she navigates motherhood, work and on/off relationship with Tommy Fury.
It sees Molly-Mae’s continued work on her fashion brand, Maebe, as they expand into sleek new offices in south Manchester, as well as life at home, where she still lives with her older sister Zoe Rae, and the daily juggle of being a working mum.
The second series of Behind It All launched with three episodes on Prime Video in October, with episodes 4 to 6 episodes set to follow in early 2026.
But the release of the new episodes didn’t come without backlash, and Molly-Mae has shared how she’s managing to avoid most of it having deleted TikTok where plenty of discussion has been taking place around scenes from her show.
The 26-year-old opened up to fans in her latest YouTube vlog and started by saying it had ‘definitely been an interesting week’ before revealing she had made the ‘executive decision’ to delete the video-sharing app from her phone.
Molly-Mae said: “To be honest with you, it’s been, quite frankly, one of the best decisions I ever made.”
While she admitted she’d ‘grown thick skin over the years’ and was used to seeing negative comments in her line of work, she admitted: “There’s just something about that app that just feels so insanely toxic.”
Since deleting TikTok, Molly-Mae said she had been shielded by most of the backlash but it was her makeup artist scrolled through it and saw “at least three things within that short time of me looking at her phone that I didn’t want to see”.

She continued: “So, I just felt like, okay, definitely in no way, shape or form rushing to get the app back anytime soon. I just want to say that I’ve also received so many incredibly lovely messages and people saying that they’ve also really enjoyed it.
“And that’s literally all I wanted for the doc. It’s never ever been to do anything other than just create something for people to watch and enjoy. And I think I’ve definitely definitely learned a lot.”
Molly-Mae also explained how she was ‘severely anxious’ about her docu-series coming out as she ‘can’t make everyone happy’.
She said: “Like I think even before the premiere, there’s a bit of me in this vlog where I’m like severely anxious. I literally said like ‘that’s going to cause this’ and ‘this is going to cause that’.
“I have been doing this job now for a really really long time and I feel like we kind of had a formula that we followed for years that avoids what has happened with the doc from happening.
“And with this drop of the doc like we literally did the complete opposite of what we normally do. Like we spoke about things we don’t speak about.
“We kept things in that probably I would never ever show of myself like because with the last drop of the doc everyone was like, ‘We want more. We want more’. So, it’s like you give it, but then it’s not like it’s too much or it’s, you know…”
