Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair trailer is here and super violent

There aren’t many holy grails when it comes to modern theatrical experiences, but this is certainly one of them. Back when Quentin Tarantino was making the Kill Bill franchise, he envisioned it as a single, very long, very bloody movie. Ultimately,it was chopped in two and released as such…until now. Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is coming to theaters in less than a month and we finally have a trailer. Mark your calendars for Dec. 5.
The trailer promises a truly unique Tarantino experience: a version of the combined film that is uncut, unrated, and features brand-new footage never seen before. We’re led to believe that said footage is a new animated sequence included in the film, though that’s not technically brand-new.
Over the years, Tarantino has shown his cut of The Whole Bloody Affair at his theaters in Los Angeles, the New Beverly, and the Vista. According to the Vista’s website, the cut of the film shown at those screenings runs over four hours, making it Tarantino’s longest movie by a long shot. Those screenings have included the animated sequence seen in the trailer. Still, for the non-local audience, this is huge. Another interesting change is Tarantino dropping the black and white motif for the Crazy 88s fight, meaning you’ll see the Bride’s glorious plucking out of a foe’s eye in glorious color.
Kill Bill follows Uma Thurman’s The Bride, also known as Beatrix Kiddo and Black Mamba, a former Deadly Vipers Assassination Squad member who is nearly killed by her old boss, Bill (David Carradine) on her wedding day — alongside the rest of her wedding party. Waking up from a coma years later, The Bride goes on a revenge tour to find her former fellow assassins, as well as Bill, and dispatch them all. Naturally, she can only do this in the absolute most violent ways imaginable in this samurai-inspired tale.
A sneaky moment in the trailer teases something completely different from the film. There’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot of the movie’s Pussy Wagon, but in Fortnite. This is something that was lightly teased by content creators earlier in the week. Naturally, the all-ages nature of Fortnite means the word “Pussy” is replaced with a drawing of Meowscles (and the license plate now reads MEO WGN rather than PSY WGM). Kill Bill, just like the Wu-Tang Clan, is for the children — at least where Fortnite is concerned.
