Titans Part Ways With Another Former Pro Bowler Ahead of Week 10 Game

The Tennessee Titans’ decision to part ways with veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett last month served as a clear sign that the organization wants to get younger as they head towards a rebuild. On Friday, Tennessee further made that effort clear by parting ways with another multi-time Pro Bowler.

Quandre Diggs was once regarded as one of the best safeties in football during his time with the Seattle Seahawks, reaching the Pro Bowl in three consecutive years.

Unfortunately, things have gone downhill for Diggs in 2025 with the Titans. Notably, the former Seahawks star has started just four games this year, failing to make much of an impact in his second year in Tennessee.

Given that the Titans are sitting at the bottom of the NFL standings with a 1-8 record on the year, it seems as if the organization would rather give some younger players an opportunity to see the field moving forward.

On Friday, reports emerged that Tennessee has decided to officially release Diggs. He is now set to go on waivers, making him available to be claimed by interested teams around the NFL.

It is certainly interesting timing for this move to come after the NFL trade deadline. Most would assume that the Titans would have liked to get something back for Diggs if possible at the deadline.

Maybe there simply wasn’t a market for a potential trade to be made. But given how productive Diggs has proven to be over the course of his career, it seems likely that he will field some interest around the NFL from teams looking for help in the secondary.

This final decision, coming from the Titans, ends a largely lackluster run for Diggs in Tennessee, starting just 12 games over the last two seasons and failing to record a single interception.
