‘Stranger Things’ and new show ‘Boots’ are top shows this fall

There’s chaos brewing in Derry, Maine.
HBO and HBO Max’s “IT: Welcome to Derry” has sent chills down fans’ spines since the horror series, based on Stephen King’s novel and the 2017 and 2019 “It” movies, launched in late October. It’s set in the fictional town of Derry, Maine.
According to Variety and Deadline, the show’s premiere episode saw a whopping 5.7 million viewers in the first three days of its release.
USA TODAY’s television critic Kelly Lawler says the new series “is not a soulless addendum, but an untapped spring of terror and blood that remains true to the soul of King’s work while throwing in Easter eggs, new twists and familiar faces.”

When do new episodes of ‘IT: Welcome to Derry’ come out?
The first season consists of eight episodes, which will be available on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max, according to a news release.
