West Ham United to make history in The Lady Mayor’s Show

West Ham United will become the first Premier League club to take part in the historic Lady Mayor’s Show in the City of London on Saturday 8 November.

For the first time in its more than 800-year history, the procession will be the Lady Mayor’s Show after lifelong West Ham supporter, Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley DBE, was elected as the 607th Lord Mayor of London for 2025-26.

The Lady Mayor’s Show is the oldest, longest, best loved and least-rehearsed civic procession in the world, dating back to the 13th century, with over 125 organisations and thousands of people taking part in a parade more than three miles long.

The procession will depart from Mansion House at 11am to the Royal Courts, St Paul’s Cathedral, Temple and returning to Mansion House at 2.40pm, with over 350,000 people expected to line streets of the City of London and millions more watching live coverage on television and online around the world.

West Ham United’s float will be near the head of the procession and will showcase the history and legends of the Club since its formation as Thames Ironworks FC in 1895, the Hammers’ achievements and diversity and the community work done by the Club’s Foundation.

The Lady Mayor’s Appeal funded the Inspire Zone at The Foundry, West Ham’s recently opened community hub in Beckton in the London Borough of Newham.
