MATCH PREVIEW | Wrexham v Charlton

The Addicks are back on the road on Saturday, travelling to the STōK Cae Ras to take on Wrexham (KO 3pm GMT).

Nathan Jones’ side head to Wales in fine form and currently sit sixth in the Sky Bet Championship table following Tuesday’s dramatic home win against West Bromwich Albion.

TEAM NEWS

Amari’i Bell, Reece Burke and Charlie Kelman all missed out for the Addicks in midweek through injury, while the gaffer confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Matty Godden is ‘weeks away rather than months’. Josh Edwards remains sidelined.

The hosts will be without Danny Ward, Andy Cannon, Elliot Lee and Jay Rodriguez.

THE OPPOSITION

The Red Dragons currently sit 14th in the Sky Bet Championship standings having collected 18 points from their opening 14 fixtures. 

Phil Parkinson’s men shared a goalless draw with Portsmouth on Wednesday. That was preceded by a 3-2 triumph over league leaders Coventry City at the STōK Cae Ras.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The two teams have locked horns on 17 previous occasions, with the Addicks winning three, the Red Dragons winning eight and the remaining six encounters resulting in draws.

The last meeting between the two sides came at the STōK Cae Ras in April 2025, when the hosts ran out 3-0 victors.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Leigh Doughty will be the man in the middle this weekend.

Doughty will be assisted by Richard Woodward and Jacob Graham. Paul Howard has been named as the Fourth Official.

The Addicks will be sporting their popular Reebok third kit for the first time this season.
