Insiders reveal all of the details of Liz and Billy’s wedding, as they tell us the one fear her pals share about her ‘bad boy’ beau

Just six months ago, we revealed how Liz Hurley’s pals were urging the model and actress to come to her senses and see that her new man, Billy Ray Cyrus, was Hollywood’s ultimate ‘bad news beau’.
But after months of loved-up selfies, red carpet appearances and time spent between England and Nashville, Liz, 60, and Billy, 64, appear to be going from strength to strength.
And last weekend, The Inheritance star couldn’t help but gush about her new love in a new interview, describing the country legend as ‘fabulous’, adding, ‘We’re very happy, very happy.’
Now, with the festive season just around the corner, an insider tells us that the loved-up duo are set to drop another unexpected bombshell in the coming weeks – as they plan to tie the knot over Christmas.
We’re told, ‘They’re crazy about each other. Billy Ray says he’s found his soulmate in Liz and she seems to feel the same way because she’s the one pushing for the wedding to happen as soon as possible.
‘She wants to do it before the end of the year so they’re now talking about having it over the Christmas holiday. She’s telling people she’s never been happier, and Billy Ray feels the same. They both believe that when something feels this right, there’s no point in waiting.’
While fans were left so shocked that some even believed the pictures of the pair could be an AI generated hoax when they first revealed their romance over the Easter weekend, English ‘Queen’ Liz and country star Billy Ray, who hails from Kentucky, have actually been friends for years after first working together in 2022.
They played the central characters in the rom com, Christmas in Paradise and, while we previously revealed how sparks had flown, Billy Ray had been engaged to his third wife, Australian singer Firerose, at the time.
The couple went on to marry the following year before separating last May.
Now, with the holidays being such a poignant time for them both as it harks back to when their friendship first blossomed, the source says Liz doesn’t want to waste any time organising a huge celebrity wedding and has dropped hints to Billy Ray that she would be happy to elope.
‘A big glamorous wedding at Billy Ray’s estate in Nashville seems like the obvious choice, or it did until Liz mentioned she wouldn’t be opposed to eloping,’ the insider tells us.

‘Billy Ray’s now saying they may just run off to Las Vegas and do it without even warning anyone. Their friends wouldn’t be surprised if they actually did it, either. Liz has a wild streak and loves the idea of shocking everyone with a surprise wedding.’
And it could be her ‘wild streak’ that first attracted Liz to Billy, the famous father of Miley Cyrus, who has been married three times and has a history of family feuds, alleged substance misuse and volatile relationships.
Liz’s fans have been left baffled by her choice, with one warning Liz, ‘Noo, just Nooo. Run Elizabeth,’ while another added, ‘Is anyone else wondering why she’s not seeing the…’ followed by a series of red flag emojis.
Their romance debut came under a year after Firerose had accused Billy Ray of ‘extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse’ during their 2024 divorce battle, as she laid bare allegations of ‘volatile’ behaviour driven by substance abuse.
Following his disastrous performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration last summer, Billy Ray’s estranged son Trace also spoke out, posting on social media, ‘We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns. You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it.’
However, the source says that after leaning on Liz when he hit ‘rock bottom’, Billy Ray is now telling pals that Liz ‘saved’ him from his destructive ways.
They tell us, ‘Liz came into Billy Ray’s life when he was at rock bottom, his family had been torn apart, he was in the middle of an ugly divorce and feeling completely worthless.
‘He still marvels that Liz would even want him in that state, he was such a mess. He says she is like an angel that came into his life and saved him.
‘Not only did she help him totally shake off his divorce from Firerose, She also helped him salvage his relationship with Miley.’
During Liz’s latest interview, The Royals actress made the candid confession that she had actually got to know Billy Ray more so through his starring alongside Miley in hit Disney franchise Hannah Montana, than through his music.

‘My son was the age where he used to watch Hannah Montana all the time, so of course, I used to watch it with him. I knew Billy Ray really well from that, and of course, some of his music. That was a big plus,’ she said.
Liz also revealed how her own son Damian, 23, had met Miley, 32, adding, ‘Billy’s kids are great and Billy has spent a lot of time with Damian. Everyone loves everyone, it’s lovely.’
Billy is also father to Brandi, 38, Trace, 36, Braison, 31, and Noah, 25, with ex-wife Tish Cyrus-Purcell, and Christopher, 33, with waitress Kristin Luckey.
And while Billy ‘s relationship with his children has been famously tumultuous, the source says his romance with Liz has prompted him to become a better father.
‘It’s no coincidence that things between him and Miley got better after Liz came into the picture,’ the insider says.
‘That’s because she straight up told Billy Ray that he needed to take the reins and make amends to his daughter.
‘Billy Ray bristled at first because Liz read him the riot act but ultimately he took her advice and it worked. He and Miley are now back on good terms, which in a lot of ways does feel like an answered prayer.
‘He praises Liz for healing his heart and treats her like a queen, and she absolutely adores being worshipped.’
However, while this isn’t the first time Liz has fallen for a ‘bad boy’, having dated actor Hugh Grant for 13 years until 2000 and cricketer Shane Warne, whom she split with in 2013, the source says Liz’s pals still fear she could be headed for heartbreak.
We’re told, ‘Billy’s romantic gestures and their sizzling chemistry are intoxicating for Liz but it’s hard for people around her not to worry that her red hot love life could be clouding her judgment.
‘These are two very different people with such opposite backgrounds and for those close to Liz it’s hard to see what they’ll have in common when their honeymoon period ends.
‘But Liz won’t hear a word of negativity, she’s going full steam ahead with Billy Ray and anyone who’s not supportive can pretty well kiss her goodbye.’
