Crews working to rescue nurses, pilot after LifeFlight helicopter crashes in Wilson County

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Emergency crews are working to rescue nurses and a pilot after a Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter crashed in Wilson County on Saturday.

Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Captain Scott Moore told WSMV the helicopter crashed in the 7100 block of Cairo Bend Road at around 2 p.m.

The helicopter was carrying nurses and the pilot. Crews are currently working to free them from the crash.
