Crews working to rescue nurses, pilot after LifeFlight helicopter crashes in Wilson County
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Emergency crews are working to rescue nurses and a pilot after a Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter crashed in Wilson County on Saturday.
Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Captain Scott Moore told WSMV the helicopter crashed in the 7100 block of Cairo Bend Road at around 2 p.m.
The helicopter was carrying nurses and the pilot. Crews are currently working to free them from the crash.

Cpt. Moore said they are not sure where the flight was going or coming from at this time.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will likely be leading the investigation into the crash, Moore said.
