Medic (11-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) will look to put together back-to-back wins for the first time since 2023. Over his last four fights, the Serbian has traded wins and losses, and he enters this one after a first-round stoppage of Gilbert Urbina in August.
Salikhov (22-5 MMA, 9-4 UFC) has been running hot on a three-fight winning streak. The 41-year-old Russian’s run includes a split decision win over Santiago Ponzinibbio, followed by bonus-winning first-round stoppages of Song Kenan and Carlos Leal.

Serving as a striker’s delight at welterweight is a matchup between Uros Medic and Muslim Salikhov.
Medic is a dangerous southpaw with knockout power, particularly early in the fight. Meanwhile, Salikhov, who is currently 41 years old, is a skilled striker who still shows solid speed, power and reactions at this late stage of his career.
Combat sports have traditionally been ‘no country for old men,’ but I suspect that Salikhov can keep the train rolling here.
Aside from officially standing at 1-0 opposite UFC-level southpaws (beating Francisco Trinaldo), Salikhov also knocked out an aggressive Carlos Leal when the Brazilian showed him a southpaw stance.
Add in the fact that Medic’s aggression will likely fuel Salikhov’s countering sensibilities, and I predict that the Russian fighter finds a knockout by the middle of Round 2.
